You can get 99 cent cases on Ebay right now from a seller called Ashopone. They are located in Hong Kong. Nice seller though, I've bought a bunch of cases for my iPhone 4 from him, and recently ordered 5 iPod touch 4th gen cases as well.

This isn't contracted work. I am approaching companies with examples of what I can do; unfortunately the nature of the illustrations I'm sampling them with mean that unscrupulous types could take it, easily remove any watermarks (it is simple line-work, after all) and use it for their own purposes. I can obviously include a caveat somewhere that I own copyright of the image, but when you're sending examples overseas for manufacturing companies to look at, it's a little difficult to get legitimately signed agreements that it won't be copied and used... unless anyone knows better!!

I hope it runs smooth on macbook pro's. I never played mass effect on a computer, I've always played it on the xbox.
It's great on pc personally Its better than Xbox but unless you got a dedicated card I dont think this will run well.

Heard of it, never watched it, although I do like a lot of the Discovery and National Geographic shows. They're very interesting.

A faster Hard Drive really does that much? Interesting. Thanks
[/lilstewart92]
Sure does, the HDD in the eMac is 3000rpm faster than the one in the iBook. It makes a huge difference when the computer has to page in and out of the HDD. An iBook can be faster if you use a Firewire external 7200rpm drive and make it your boot drive.

It's $1269 CAD for the iMac 27” - Core i3 3.2 Ghz refurb. Is this a good deal?!
801, for that, sounds like a steal. The 27" screen, alone, in the UK, would cost more than that... But we Brits always get fisted on North American goods. Maybe ask a fellow Canadian.
EDIT: To give you some context - that machine would've been 1,399 new, over here. See whether the prices scale.

i wanted to let anybody that stumbles on this forum that i found a way to restore it!
all you gotta do is hold menu and the middle button until the apple logo comes on, now let go and press and hold the middle and play/pause button it will then go into restore mode, once you connect it to a computer it will probably ask you to format the drive, just format and open itunes, now it will let you restore with itunes.

What computer do you have? Do you have an express card slot?
If you do you can get an eSATA adapter.
SATA is not bus powered though.
Thanks for the kindhearted correction.
No problem. Trying my best to be an arse sometimes. ;)

I apologize if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
You can't seem to find the answer because you haven't been finding it. it's been answered many times.

for what sb58 was referring to, that would be The Shivering Isles expansion (which is already out), and there is an earlier release called Knights of the Nine. :)

I just got this ipad2 64gb At&T 1 week ago, it was working good until today. It just randomly goes to wherever it could, plays music by itself, or goes to notes and type random letters in it. It even goes to settings and messes everything up from languages to passcode.
Is that some kind of bug or some system error ?
by the way, i've never dropped it or hit it before. The only thing i can think of is when my dad put ghost armor on it (i saw him spraying a lot of liquid) then he blew dry it with hair dryer (cold air). But he did this to his iphone long time ago and it's working totally fine.

It'll work but file transfers will be very, very slow.
We are talking about a file server on a local network. It's only data transfer bottleneck would be the ethernet connection. The iBooks stock HD could easily keep up with gigabit ethernet.
Don't understand what your "very very slow" statement is based on.

Just for your information:
PBS News Hour (http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/world/jan-june11/china_04-13.html)
Just for your information: If you had bothered to go to Apple's website, look around a bit, and find their annual report about working conditions for employees of their suppliers, you would have found that Apple investigated the case long time ago, Apple's supplier fired a contractor who was found to be using illegal methods and reported that contractor to authorities in China, and everyone whose health was affected is now actually back to work.
Old news? They just broadcasted the story yesterday.
Yes. They re-broadcast a year old story yesterday, about a problem that has long since been resolved.
Its not just iphone production or Apple either. Foxconn makes stuff for every major electronics manufacturer.
So this is not an Apple issue. It's Foxconn's issue and the fact that the Chinese government allows them to get away with it.
This happened at a contractor who produced parts for iPhones, so Apple actually made it their issue and resolved it. You can say all day long "problems in China are not Apple's problems", but Apple disagrees strongly with you. And maybe the Chinese government lets companies get away with things, but Apple doesn't.
Old news. And yes, it is awful. But unfortunately, it's China, so nothing will be done about it.
Nothing will be done about it in the future, because something has been done about it, months ago.

Are you using a directly-attached USB drive, or are you using a wireless Time Capsule (or a USB drive attached to an Airport Extreme)?
I use a Time Capsule. When I click "Enter Time Machine", it sometimes takes up to 30 seconds for it to connect wirelessly and pull it up.

Well I really don't like taking chances after what happened to m other iBook G4 1.42:eek:. And I have to take my iBook to school back and forth everyday. Take it to school and then take it to my Mom's or my Dad's [whose ever day(divorced parents)]. And I really think that my iBook is going to get broken or something is going to happen. So my solution: get another computer. And the computer I'm going to get is the eMac. The iBook will come over if needed, but will primarily be used at my Dad's house. The eMac will be at my Mom's house. She is helping out A LOT - $500. I would use my PC but, she took it away from me as I was bringing my iBook over all the time so she was like, what they hey and gave it to my brother. I can't get it back. So, I'm stuck, and the eMac is the sollution.
Here are the specs:
512MB SDRAM DDR333 - 1 DIMM
160GB Ultra ATA drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW)
Internal Bluetooth Module + AirPort Extreme Card
Apple Keyboard & Mouse + Mac OS - U.S. English
1.42GHz PowerPC G4
ATI Radeon 9600 w/64MB DDR video memory
56K internal modem
Integrated stereo speakers
I'm really happy with those specs. I don't mind the CRT. I'm also getting a Mighty Mouse.
Order Subtotal: $1,032.00
Free Shipping: $0.00
Estimated Tax: $64.50
Estimated Total: $1,096.50
What do you think? Will this machine do me good? Should I save up some more for an iMac? (Money is limited)
I only need $351 for it.
Thanks,
Matt

....so I tried setting the document as A4, but making huge margins, so that it would print on A5 paper. It printed fine on a single page, but when I tried to print the whole document it did a strange thing.
First it presented the normal Print dialogue box, and I accepted this. Then it presented the same dialogue box again. I pressed Cancel. Then it started to print the document on the A5 page, but as if on an A4 page, with the title at the top, but the copy printing off the edge on right and left and bottom.
I went to the Printer Setup Utility, chose the HP LaserWriter 1200 and pressed Stop Printing.
But there appears to be no way to delete items from the print queue, so unless I delete the actual printer and start again, I have to let it print off 29 pages of junk, wasting paper.
