I'll probably get one, I'm so sick of my dumb phone and tired of seeing the wife with her iP4. It'll just put me in line for the iP6 upgrade path, don't know if I would even use the extra HP with the iP5. Plus, I would think you would be able to sell a genuine white iP4 on ebay and get a good chunk.

Er, not necessarily. Age of consent laws vary widely... in most jurisdictions, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old can pretty much do whatever they want.
very true will even be legal with some 16 year olds

Just one example but Transformers 2 was cut on FCP, and that's a 250mil movie, hardly an independent one :)
No one said FCP is only used on indie movies.

This rumor kinda makes me laugh. Something about having a rumor about an update to a product that we haven't even seen yet seems comical to me.
I am in the market for a new phone though. Looking at the rumored BB 8800 or the Apple phone if it's up to par. Only time will tell.

Yes, it does support the new HD camera.
Photobooth takes photos in 720p, although video is done in 480. Strange.
At least, in the original DP2. 11A444d was very buggy for me with iTunes and Mail for some reason, had to downgrade, didn't think to try Photobooth then.

Sounds awesome, but I'll still stick with Camino until Safari speeds up a bit and is more stable. Those were my only two issues.
Fishes,
narco.
Download the Safari Webkit Nightly, it's plenty fast. Today's build is pretty stable too (r16812)...

If anything I'm seeing that this will push resale value of iPhones up.
Of course it sucks, but I don't upgrade early so unless they increase the non early upgrade costs this won't apply to a lot of us.

yes, probably. Since I was already on 10.5.8 before I installed CHUD. Uninstall it thru the remover that it came with, and reinstall after your update to 10.5.8. It is better if you download the 10.5.8 combo that update it using the Apple Software Updater.

Hmm... I'm gonna avoid this like the plague now.
You will find two things:
This sort of system will be the "price of admission", and
The features and benefits Apple iTV offers will be as compelling for TV as the iPod was for music.
One key benefit for example, is access to your video content including your DVR from anywhere.

You could go all "over-zealous super-parent" on him and really weird him out. Start giving him advice on technique, how to stay focussed to make it last longer, positions etc. Ask him for anything cool he might know to spice up YOUR sex life.
That'll really mess with his head and eventually, everytime he and the girlfriend are haviing sex he'll get an image of you asking him questions and he'll get so freaked out he'll stop immediately and come home wanting a hug and to never leave the house or look at girls ever again. Let alone have "the sex."
Then he can just stay at home under your ever-watchful eye and play mindless violent computer games - a much better pastime in the progression to a good, grounded adult than having sex with his girlfriend.Well said! Although, of course, you do realize that the OP was the 18-year-old in question, right?

I'm not going, but I have to tell you that I'm extremely jealous. Modest Mouse has slowly become one of my all time favorite bands. I hope to see them live someday soon. Enjoy the show!

Stick around. There's cooler stuff on the way ;)
I expect this is the first application and I bet they will release a calandar application when Leopard is released next year. It seems that .Mac will get the old versions of iLife. If you look at the other .Mac offerings that will have to be updated it isn't much of a stretch to see them integrate the iWeb and iWork suite. This is obviously Apple's answer to Google G-whatever and Microsoft's Live service.
If .Mac offered a full suite of applications at some point, is it beyond the realm of possibility that Apple could sell a low cost terminal computer? Or maybe a future touch screen iPod that syncs up with .Mac service? Or even better, an iPod with a HDMI out dock that can plug into a monitor or HDTV, and with .Mac it's basically a glorified terminal computer. That would be so cool.

I have been beyond busy this past year, and haven't been able to post my guitart desktops, something I tried to do monthly.
So here's hitting back with a bang and making up for the missed months
...
I was just wondering if you were going to post new snaps of your strings. Thx! :)

Hi everyone,
I've been having trouble with this for a little while now. Done a lot of looking around but can't find anyone with a similar problem. I've updated everything on iTunes and also restarted the phone but I'm not able to turn off an alarm I have set at 6:35am every day. When I go to the alarm control settings, all alarms are turned off and none are even set for this time.
Does anyone have any ideas? This isn't a big deal, but it's terrible on weekends!
Thanks,
Adam :apple:

I'm on a Core i7 860 @ 2.8GHz 8GB mem running Windows 7.
I'm 9% through my first task running on a single core. (I'll figure out how to use more cores later...)
You'll have to speed up your CPU more (ie overclock) in order to deliver results faster and get a higher PPD rating.
Also, which client did you download or are you using the Command Prompt? If you are using the command prompt, write the following:
-smp 6 -bigadv -verbosity 9 -local
This will dedicate 6 of your 8 threads to the Folding. Editing how many threads you dedicate can be done by upping or lowering the number after -smp

What kind of BMW do you recommend for a young bachelor business guy in a popular downtown location? I was thinking about the 3 series.
There are a lot of 3-series around. Spice it up a bit, and get something a little more unique...

I was looking at the Canada apple refurb store and they don't have a 16gb ipad...but the U.S. one does!
...any idea why? and will we see them again in the Canadian store?? the last time they were on was right after the iPad2 announcement ($379CND which is a ripoff compared to the US store where it's $329...but still a good deal!)
also, refurb.me/ca does not even show the 16gb model... :(
